Simon Sturgis, Managing Director of SCP, will be speaking at the UKGBC event ‘Advancing Net Zero: next steps in holistic carbon reductions’ on 19th April. Other speakers include Ed Dixon, Landsec, James Fiske, RICS and Natalia Ford, UKGBC.
‘With an overall goal to be net zero carbon shortly after 2050, the built environment is currently at a tipping point. Despite having more consistency in measurement and assessment, a variety of processes and tools available to measure, case studies from which to learn, and increasing knowledge around embedding whole life carbon thinking into projects and organisations, the issue of net zero carbon can still be unclear. This event will discuss why it is still not a mainstream issue and where we are going wrong.’
