95 Wigmore Street provides over 9000 m2 of office and retail space in Marylebone, London.
Sturgis Carbon Profiling was commissioned by Great Portland Estates to produce a post completion whole-life carbon assessment of 95 Wigmore Street and identify options that could have reduced its embodied carbon impacts.
The study covers:
The whole-life carbon footprint of 95 Wigmore Street is around half that of a BCO benchmark for an air-conditioned London office. This is due to far better operational performance, with the embodied carbon impact before improvements being slightly worse.
However, it would have been possible to improve this position by implementing a number of identified opportunities. SCP produced a report showing the potential for design and specification improvements that would result in cost neutral carbon emissions reduction that could be applied to future projects.
The project was complete in 2013.
