Whole Life Carbon assessment and Carbon Reduction options of the new 7-storey mixed-use development in Central London.

The Portman Estate has engaged Sturgis Carbon Profiling to assist in embedding carbon management within all stages of the design process for this project.

SCP completed a preliminary embodied carbon baseline assessment of the building. Following design team workshops, SCP identified opportunities for reducing the building’s embodied carbon footprint through design and specification alterations, procurement and supply chain scrutiny, and improvement of site operations.

SCP liaised with the appointed design teams and the contractor to ensure the measures required are implemented to achieve the proposed embodied carbon reduction target.
